D/Sgt John Murray: Is he just another lying OPP Officer?
On Dec. 1, 2007, I met Officer Murray for the first time. He made it completely clear that he was brought in because he was not part of the Caledonia history and therefore could investigate the events on Dec. 1 without bias or politics. At the same time he read me my rights because of the claim I assaulted a Native woman. Of course, I hadn't, so I wasn't concerned about such a charge.
I informed Officer Murrary that there was no way that he was independent and he had to be following OPP policies. Over the course of a week I spoke with Officer Murray and both he and I repeated our stated positions on whether he was independent or not. Could Officer Murray truly investigate Dec. 1 and lay the correct charges?... Yes, he could if, and only if, officer Murray is more concerned about his Oath of Office versus OPP policies and politicial pressure.
I am going to allow people who view the evidence here to decide whether Officer John Murray's many statements about his independent investigation were the truth or not.
Officer Murray told me at least 30 times that he would enforce the law regardless of Race or Politics. He would be completely nonbaised in laying charges against anyone who broke the law.
From the videos you can see numerous times where Native Protesters assaulted OPP Officers and the many violent threats toward OPP and residents without a single arrest on that day or since.
Although video evidence has been given to Officer Murray about the various assaults upon me, to this date, Officer Murray has only charged Clyde Powless and in my opinion solely because the video made it onto TV.
It appears that Officer Murray's independent investigation is very selective about who to arrest and who not to arrest. For example, Doug Fleming was arrested for mischief for blocking Hwy #6 but was the Native driver of the truck also arrested for blocking the same highway?... not so far.
Exactly who has been arrested for the violent assault upon Jeff Parkinson?... no one.
Is there anyone, including Officer Murray, who believes that if I had touched an OPP officer and threatened anyone like Clyde and other Native Protesters that I wouldn't have been arrested on the spot or arrested by Officer Murray by now?
So Officer Murray, talk is cheap and you promised that your investigation would be non-baised so can you please explain why you have refused to charge any Native person for the many assaults upon OPP officers?
Does anyone think I or the public will ever get an answer?
Just how many Native Protesters assaulted OPP officers in the above clip? - as of today no arrests for these assaults.
