Haldimand man charged with uttering threats

Provincial police have charged a Haldimand County man with uttering threats.

Police began investigating at a Highway 6 address in Caledonia Nov. 25 after reports of “threats of harm and destruction” directed at Ontario Provincial Police, the Ministry of Transportation, the county sheriff and Six Nations Band Council.

Jeff Henhawk, 33, of Haldimand County is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, breach of firearms regulations and uttering threats to damage property.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Cayuga on Jan. 3.
