A Six Nations man who has repeatedly been convicted of disqualified driving and yet continues to get behind the wheel will be sentenced yet again in March.

Joseph Montour, 56, was charged last year with possession of a stolen car and driving while disqualified.

He pleaded guilty in provincial court on Thursday and will return for sentencing March 15.

"This is your 17th conviction for driving while disqualified!" said Justice Ken Lenz before remanding Montour in custody.

Montour, who has spent time in penitentiary, is expected to receive a sentence of three to five years. A Gladue report will be prepared to consider Montour's native heritage and upbringing.

Other charges against Montour for sexual assault and forcible confinement were withdrawn.
