Abomination of justice

Re: Julian Fantino welcomed to the House of Commons, by Mark Kennedy, Postmedia News, Dec. 15.

Mr. Fantino says, "I have never had any tolerance whatsoever for crime, to begin with." Really? In that case, I look forward to the equal application of the law of the land to all citizens and a speedy resolution to the abomination and travesty of justice that is Caledonia.

Does anyone out there even remember Caledonia and the injustices thrust upon its citizens and the citizens of Ontario as well, for that matter? It was under his watch as OPP commissioner that one set of laws was applied to one group of people and another set for another group, and lawlessness ran rampant and still does to this day.

Telling OPP officers to stand down and jeopardize their safety, while blatant, violent crime takes place before their eyes is hardly a show of intolerance for crime, Mr. Fantino. You'll make a fine politician.
