OPP makes cigarette bust

A Brant County OPP officer got more than he bargained for after pulling over a van for a traffic violation on White Swan Road on Friday.

The officer found 278 cases of unmarked cigarettes and another 178 cartons of unmarked cigarettes. The cigarettes have a combined value of about $418,212.

Provincial police have charged Lyle J. Henry, 51 and Lester R. Martin, 53, of Six Nations, with possession of unmarked cigarettes under the Tobacco Tax Act.
