Gary McHale and friends are racists? Just more political spin with accusations of hidden agendas, white supremacists, violence and racism. Then glowing praise for extremists who assisted natives in terrorizing Caledonia while Dalton McGuinty's politically correct government and Julian Fantino's befuddled OPP turned a blind eye. Unbelievable!
Caledonia is familiar with divide-and-conquer tactics to squelch opposition to race-based policing. Even after the revelations in the Brown/Chatwell lawsuit, OPP and government are still more concerned with order than justice.
Keeping the peace does not equate to enforcing the law. Fear of retaliation or a guilt complex for past inequities cannot be allowed to temper law and order.
We all agree change is needed. The only way to end this nightmare is to enforce one law for all, stop the political double-talk, return to civility and settle land claims in court.
Until then, the struggle will continue to survive government abandonment, Fantino's hog-tied policing policies and the element that holds us hostage, all while Haldimand flounders.
