Police have busted a crime ring after an investigation into a break and enter here led them to raid homes in Haldimand County and Six Nations.
Police uncovered electronics, drugs, and stolen firearms from a Haldimand home and another in Six Nations. They arrested 10 people.
Norfolk OPP say their investigation started after they were called to a break and enter on County Road 21 in the Walsingham area last Monday in which a television, jewelry, a Nintendo Wii console, an iPod, an MP3 player and several firearms were taken.
Charged with a number of offences are:
Dwayne Van Every, 25, of Six Nations; Hillary Robertson, 20, of Haldimand County; Dustin Monture, 20, of Haldimand; Matthew Meyer, 30, of Haldimand; Lewis Metcalfe, 19, of Norfolk County; Lacey Hill, 27, of Six Nations; Ronald Henhawk, 40, of Haldimand; Matthew Harvey, 20, of Norfolk; and a 17-year-old man who cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The investigation involved Haldimand OPP, Six Nations Police, the Rural Agricultural Crime Team, and the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau/Drug Enforcement.
