Negotiations to resolve the native land claim dispute will likely resume next year. Ottawa, Six Nations, and Ontario have not met since June when talks were adjourned. The three parties aimed to return to talks today, however Six Nations Chief Negotiator Allen MacNaughton said some members of his team were unavailable. The talks will likely resume in January, when Ron Doering plans to present a Federal Response to the $500-million offer proposed by Six Nations.
