Local MPP Toby Barrett told Aboriginal Affairs Minister Brad Duguid we need an end to land disputes. Barrett said in the Ontario Legislature, Duguid needs to relocate a couple who live adjacent to Douglas Creek Estates who have had their family's safety and health at risk for two and a half years. Barrett says there is nothing on the docket this fall for resolution and points out the Caledonia dispute has been going on for two and a half years, Ipperwash for five years with nothing accomplished, not even the promised legislation and now disputes are turning up in Brantford.
