Stirling Woods Assault Charges Dropped

A teen has been let off the hook after being charged with assaulting a Caledonia home builder. Police had laid charges against 3 people in violent altercation in September of last year at the Stirling Woods subdivision that left builder Sam Gualtieri with severe injuries. Yesterday, the Crown dropped charges against 19 year-old Byron Prowless after hearing from a key witness. The Crown said the case against Prowless wasn't strong enough. 19 year-old Richard Smoke and a 16 year-old boy still face charges from the incident.
