Six Nations Upset With Grand River Authority

Grand River Conservation officials are in hot water with the Six Nations for, apparently, putting two gauges on the river without their approval. Hazel Hill, of the Haudenosaunee Development Institute, says the authority is "proceeding illegally'' by installing river gauges in Kitchener and Haldimand County to monitor water quality. The head of the authority says it will not submit applications to the agency after Ontario said it lacks status in law.
