HOBBEMA, Alta. - RCMP have issued a Canada-wide warrant on second-degree murder charges for a19-year-old suspect in the slaying of a man on a troubled Alberta reserve.

Police say concerned residents of the reserve near Hobbema came forward, and that's what led to the warrant being issued for Darrell Ernest Baptiste.

The body of 21-year-old Dale Deschamps was found in the Samson townsite earlier this month.

His father, Jack Bull, said at the time his son had been beaten to death.

Deschamps's family say he wasn't involved in gangs.

Police say there are still four unsolved homicides on the reserve, and they're urging others to come forward to help solve them.
