So much for being watchdogs for the community

To the editors/reporters:

Newspapers are supposed to be the watchdogs for the community.  So when are you guys gonna start watching the dog?  In terms of legal fees whatever happened to the Legal Fund that was supposedly established from monetary donations to the land reclamation site?  What happened to the money Tuesday Johnson MacDonald raised with her gathering in the park?  Wasn't it supposed to be around $20,000?  What happened to all the monetary donations given by organizations groups individuals etc?  Somebody must have been looking after the money.  I believe it was Hazel who was suppsoed looking after the Legal Fund.

The HDI hasn't accounted for any money given by developers.  What happened to the $300,000 given for community consultations?  The meetings Hazel and Aaron held sure as heck didn't cost $300,000.

The Confederacy Council has not accounted for the crop-farming money Jesse Porter has given to them over the past two years.  Jesse has not accounted for the crop money from last year.  Pretty soon it will be time to harvest more crops.

GREAT still hasn't accounted for the 2007/2008 budget.  I can't remember how much council got from this budget, if any, but I know it was minimal.  I intend to find out.  I do know the money never went into anyone's pocket.

Now I hear Aaron who appointed himself co-chair of the Main Table Finance Committee wants to know why the 2008 budget hasn't started flowing yet.  As a co-chair Aaron is in a direct conflict because he gets paid from the budget.  Sure he uses his own money for things as he says but I guarantee you he gets reimbursed.  He probably needs the money for his lawyers.

I hear now Hazel wants to get paid.  AS the manager of the HDI how can be she paid from the Main Table budget when Allan said the HDI has nothing whatever to do with the Main Table.

Problem is all you guys have allowewd yourself to become inolved and as result have lost your objectivity.  You know things are questionable or not seeming to be right but you don't report it.  So much for being the watchdog or the eyes for commuity.
