This is in response to Shelley Vienneau's comments on Thursday, "Photo of arrest inflames situation."
I didn't hear about the arrest on the radio. I read about it in The Expositor in the morning when I saw the picture in the paper.
I thought it was a great picture to go along with the story. Visual effects bring things to life for some people compared to one person's interpretation on the radio.
The same picture and story were in the Toronto Sun.
I have lived in Canada and the United States and have read several other newspapers. The Expositor does a great job bringing local and national news to to print. From front to back, you can be informed of events all over the world everyday. Not a lot of smaller local papers can do that. The Expositor publishes the real news as it happened.
This is a great excuse for a paper. What a better way to help resolve the land dispute issues than by printing what is actually happening?
We already know it gets the attention of the federal government. We can only hope the government starts to act on it.
