On April 20, the Anniversary of the day that law and order died, a bus left for Queen's Park. A small number of concerned citizens were on it. I was among them. A couple of miles outside of town Gary and Christine McHale were picked up.
In the few days following the trip, every person on the bus with the exception of the McHales and I were visited or contacted by the OPP. They wanted to know if Gary and I had talked. McHale and I really don't know each other very well. He's never been to my house. I've never been to his (I helped them unload their stuff when they moved but
On April 25, some Indians, unhappy about something, decided to block Highway #6. the OPP, who didn't bother to keep the Indians away from our protest, sealed the by-pass at both ends. The blockade lasted four days, I'm not sure what the Indians got, but I know what they didn't get: Arrested!
