TYENDINAGA TERRITORY -- Foul play is not suspected after two men and a woman were found dead in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, police say.

The deaths of Donald Lloyd, 45, his wife Wendy Lloyd, 45, and Stephen Blanchard, 42, remain under investigation by the Tyendinaga Police Service and the OPP, OPP spokesman Kristine Rae said last night.

However, foul play is not suspected and police are awaiting further toxicology reports to try to determine the cause of the deaths, Rae said.

Post-mortems were conducted yesterday at Kingston General Hospital.

Police received a 911 call from the home, located 20 km east of Belleville, around 10 p.m. Thursday, Rae said. The incident was reported by OPP yesterday.

POLICE TAPE

Two bodies were found in the bungalow while the third was located in a vehicle in the driveway.

Rae said Tyendinaga Police Service are leading the investigation with assistance from nearby OPP detachments.

The property line around the home, which sits approximately 20 metres off the roadway, has been wrapped in police tape, and a marked OPP cruiser blocked the driveway yesterday.

CURIOUS PASSERSBY

A white Chrysler minivan was parked in the driveway of the bungalow beside a motorized scooter typically used by the elderly or disabled.

Traffic crawled by yesterday morning as motorists surveyed the scene, some making return passes of the house.

A neighbour said his wife noticed police lights through the front window of their home around 10 p.m. Thursday.

"And then we heard on the news this morning there were people found dead inside," he said, asking his name not be used. "It's a little unnerving."

Nearby, another resident said his phone had been ringing off the hook once news of the police presence spread.

"Everybody knows I live along this road, so they've been calling all morning," he said. "From what I know, it was a couple that lived there. I'm not sure if they were married, but certainly common law for a couple of years.
