Native protesters again have shut down a building site on Grand River Avenue.

Ruby and Floyd Montour and a handful of supporters arrived at about noon at the housing project being developed by former city councillor Mike Quattrociocchi.

Natives stopped work at the same project in September.

Quattrociocchi and other city developers need to negotiate seriously with the Haudenosaunee Development Institute of Six Nations, Ruby Montour said.

In September, Quattrociocchi refused to pay fees, which he said totalled more than $50,000, for permission to continue construction.
