New licence bureau set to open in Caledonia

A new Ontario driver and vehicle licencing bureau and bookkeeping service are scheduled to open in Caledonia on Monday, October 29th.
Jay Dee Accounting& Tax Services will be located in the Zehrs Plaza. Not only will it offer a full range of services from bookkeeping, income tax preparation, corporate tax preparation and fast cash tax refunds, but it will also be a full-service driver and vehicle licencing bureau.
Caledonia has been without its own licence bureau since the Caledonia Licence Bureau operated by the Forster family closed in the spring of this year.
Jay Dee's already has about 50 customers in Caledonia according to its owners which helped make the decision to open a second branch here.
The new licence bureau is owned by Doug Pettit, 67, and his son, J.D. Pettit, 37. Doug, who currently lives in Burlington, is a former resident of Caledonia.
He has operated Jay Dee Accounting & Tax Services for the past 17 years in Burlington.
Doug is also a former Caledonia Lions Club member and is looking forward to renewing former acquaintances in town.
The new Caledonia location will be managed byJ.D. who has 12 years experiece with Jay Dee's. J.D. studied Business Administration at Brock University and is a big hockey fan;being on the Burlington Minor Hockey executive and coaching his son's team.
Jay Dee Accounting & Tax Services will be open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.
