Local News - The vast majority of people did not support the native protest held June 29 across Canada, according to The Intelligencer's weekly website poll last week.
Asked if they thought native Canadians are justified in holding a national day of protest on June 29, 73.9 per cent (371 votes) responded that natives were not justified in holding such action while 22.7 per cent (114 votes) believed natives were justified. Another 3.4 per cent (17 votes) said they were not sure whether native Canadians were justified.
