Dear Resident:

I am pleased to advise you that the provincial government is providing financial assistance to households most directly impacted by the former road blockades along Argyle Street and the presence of protesters on the Douglas Creek Lands.

Enclosed you will find the following:

·            an application form for the financial assistance program;

·            a question and answer package regarding the financial assistance program;

·            a map showing the location of eligible households; and

·            a return envelope addressed to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

To be eligible for assistance, you must have resided in one of the identified areas on June 16, 2006 the date that the government announced it would be providing financial assistance.

Only one individual per eligible household should complete an application requesting financial assistance, using the form enclosed.

Please submit the completed application form, along with the required documentation, in the envelope provided.

Completed application forms must be returned to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing by April 10, 2007.

The information provided under this program will be kept in strictest confidence. Each application will be reviewed an applicants will receive a letter notifying them of their eligibility.
