Where are the leaders Toby asked to step forward? If you don't want to defend your own interests you will surely lose them because the police sure won't and this government is set on a course of self interest and self preservasion and to achieve these goals they will sell both sides of the Caledonia issue down the river...literally. The only hope you have is to appeal to other Canadian/Ontarians to use their numbers to demand a end to the seige you suffer under.
Say what you want about Gary, agree or disagree, at least he has taken a stand on principle and fills a leadership role which has gotten media focus on Caledonia's plight.....without that second opinion media exposure presenting another side to the political mumbo jumbo that is clouding the core issues here, you would be a forgotten blip on the public radar...this is what the Government wants more than a fair solution...they want it quet and out of the meidia ( like Ipperwash)....and once you are out of the public eye, this government will quickly move to a jerry-rigged settlement that will screw you over big time.
If this crap happened in Cambridge or KW or Brantford it would certainly not have lasted this long...those communities have electoral seat clout with the MacGuity regime by virtue of their voting numbers and the politically connected business money that resides there....and you all know that....this has been allowed to fester because Dolton thinks Caledonia has little political whack in the overal scheme of pragmatic re-election politics...pragmatic venal politics dictates that you cut trouble lose and if that means screwing over a small community which has been deemed expendable in the reelection strategy, then you get thrown to the wolves....those of you he can't buy, he'll marginalize and publicly defame......and that's what Gary has taken on because Dolton sure as hell can't buy him off...from my perspective every side in this mess has a price a Kleptocrat can pay to make his trouble with you vanish.......only Gary seems to have no price tag except the return of equitable justice.....and isn't that what we all want?...a return to civil peace and order under equitable rule of law and a just dispute solution which reflects the vlaidity ( not the emotional rhetoric, revionist fairytailes or extortionist demands) of the claimants and respects the rights of all deeded property owners.
If there is a legitimate evidential claim lets get it into court and get a judgement.....but lets end the lawlessness...and return to the rule of law....a law BTW which does not reward lawlessness from anyone with race based "police descretion".
Gary started carrying the ball...who will pick it up.. Caledonians need step forward ...time to lead, follow or accept the screwing that history doles out to all who sit pasively in the face of political corruption.
Either stand behind Gary or get someone to fill his shoes you like better...you have no leadership in your local elected officials and the fanatics representing the native claim are doing nothing but losing them public credibility with each passing day that inflamatory rhetoric is spewed at a shocked public...they are chewing on Dolton's payola or falling into his media trap.
