As a tax paying Canadian, I am writing another letter in the hopes that I will reach more Canadians and alert the population in every province and territory, to the Government ignorance of the crimes against humanity in Caledonia.
Keeping in mind that it's only a matter of time before it happens in your area.
The residents of Caledonia enjoyed their town and all it had to offer, that's why they moved there. Unexpectedly, a war, for lack of a better word, broke out around them. Not fully understanding what was happening around them or the issue at hand they tried to cope. But ask yourselves what you would do when masked natives are shining lights in your windows, barricading streets, burning bridges, and threatening anyone who opposes them? If their issue is with the Government then explain why the town is suffering?
The town isn't safe. If it is, then why are OPP officers even there? When I can't go and drive to my sisters' home without being stopped and questioned by the OPP, there is definitely an issue of safety. When there is no power and the food goes bad, or the property value has raged into a downward spiral with no sign of stopping, or when you can't allow your own children to play in their own back yard, there is are definitely issues of child care, crime, and accountability.
How many times can the OPP, and their officials, stand by? How can they as human beings stand by and follow orders? Why don't we ask the the Jewish communities how they feel about the WWll German officers who were just following orders? They were held accountable.
Canadian history is being ignored in this matter! A 200 year old land claim? Seriously!?? How much do the natives really expect Canada to hand them?? I understand that it was taken, but I'm quite sure that I am not the only Canadian who feels they have been adequately paid. Don't they continue to be paid to this day?
I don't remember the last time I didn't have to pay GST or got my fuel at a discount. If the government wanted to give it to me don't be mistaken, I'd take it too. But times are changing: Canadian heritage is being picked away at all the time.
It happens: people and societies change and we deal with it.I thought it was called evolution. Welcome to Canada. As for the Government, isn't this what you get paid for? Running the country and keeping the peace, doing what's best for all the people: from the PM to the poorest in the street. I don't see the evidence.
Do you think Steven Harper"s kids feel threatened while in school? How about when they go to sleep, do you think they feel worried about their possessions that they have invested in? I think not, it would be a travesty, and action would be swift. What recourse do the Caledonians have?
Any motion to protect themselves is considered a violent act and they are carted away, not necessarily charged but removed form the situation. My question is, If they are being removed, in cuffs , and taken to the station, why are no charges being laid? Is it because the OPP is unsure of what the charge will be, or that nobody wants to put their name down knowing that what they are doing is wrong? Maybe they are trying to be helpful.
The conservative government has promised they are turning over a new leaf in Canada, and they have five priority policies: Lower taxes, Child care, Health care, Accountability, and Crime. So where are you Steven? You are the top dog in Canada. You should be able to take this situation in hand and deal with it in a timely manner. Your lies and propaganda are what fuels the fire of lack of faith in the government of Canada.
The fact remains that Caledonia is being terrorized and nobody is helping them to resolve the situation. People will only take so much before they take matters into their own hands. The blood will be on all Canadians. We as a people should be very concerned with the situation. The officials and the natives should have handled things differently from the beginning, but hind sight is 20/ 20.
The plan now should be focused to the safety of all Canadians. I personally feel enough is enough, if your in Canada as a Canadian resident, then fine we work together as equals, nobody get any more perks based on colour, creed, faith etc.
Equal means equal.
