Six Nations band council has given $10,000 to native protesters in Caledonia to pay for feeding and housing about 100 people.
Organizers of the occupation say they plan to go back to the council today to ask for more cash for everything from porta-potty rentals to generators, ATVs and the mortgages of protesters who are falling behind by being at the barricades
Councillors have held several closed-door meetings on the issue and are expected to pass some kind of resolution on the matter. It's not known what that might be.
Talks between native occupiers and the federal and provincial governments are continuing.
