A True Leader is one who leads from within. Modern policial leaders must consult committees, their hired handlers or polls. Last week I directly asked John Tory handlers when Mr. Tory would call for the removal of Gwen Boniface. In three seperate conversations with his handlers all I received was double talk. Politics 101 is to talk about everything but the topic the public wants asked. Did Mr. Tory support Gwen Boniface - straight forward question desires a straight forward answer. However, half an hour later and you get no answer.

As I pressed the question the handler finally said he would speak to Mr. Tory about my question and get his reply - he needed a few days to get Mr. Tory's reply. Of course, these handlers were with Mr. Tory at the time I asked my question so I didn't understand why several days was needed.

Of course I am not in politics, I am just an average person who believes anyone, after 5 months of news stories, would be able to answer the question on the spot. Mr. Tory's handlers knew time was needed for Mr. Tory to ask everyone how answering the question directly and honestly would appear in the news. Was it worth stating the obvious answer or better to spin your answer to avoid answering.

Mr. McTory is apparantly choosing to spin his answer.

What I got instead of a direct answer was that Mr. Tory has been to Caledonia several times while Mr. McGuinty has not been there. I was also reminded that Mr. Tory has spoken out at Queen's Park against Mr. McGuinty's actions.

First, Mr. Tory is in opposition and therefore would oppose Mr. McGuinty no matter what the issue was. He gets paid to oppose Mr. McGuinty. Second, talk is cheap - McGuinty has spoken on the topic as well but how has it helped?

I was told he listened to the people at Caledonia while he visited there. Apparently he must be hearing impaired because he thinks the people are more concerned about solving the land claim than addressing the failure of the OPP and McGuinty to uphold the Rule of Law.

What people want answered is why is there a 2 tier system of law enforcement? Who is responsible for this 2 tier system? How will our politicians address this 2 tier law & order?

Well... Mr. Tory how are you going to address it? Who are you going to hold accountable for it? Will you do more than Mr. McGuinty, who has so far just offered words?

Let's see... Mr. Tory has done a press release and... well... nothing. He refuses to state whether he would fire Gwen Boniface. Therefore, what we get with a Mr. Tory leadership is words but no actions.

If this is leadership then please feel free to support the next McGuinty twin - Mr. McTory.

Everyone should know that Mr. Tory has been made aware of all these postings for days prior to posting. It should be clear to people Mr. Tory would rather have these pages posted than to commit to firing Gwen Boniface.

With all the assaults, vechicle destruction, power stations burned, bridge burned, attempted murder and all the fear & itimidation people have been through, Mr. Tory doesn't know whether he would fire Gwen Boniface. Lawyers for the county, lawyers for the Class Action and Judge Marshall are able to openly decide that OPP (thus Gwen Boniface) have failed both the Rule of Law and Democracy, but still Mr. Tory is unable to decide to fire Gwen. Even the OPP Association has come out against Gwen.

Maybe after Mr. Tory has done enough polls that show it is safe to do so, he will publicly come out against Gwen.

But remember he had an opportunity to lead when called to do so and chose instead to wait and follow when it was acceptable to do so.

Whether McGuinty or Tory wins in 2007 it appears what we will get is McGuinty Part 2.
