Jane Stewart talks to Residents - Part Two

| Jane Stewart, the person making $1300 per day, is going from house to house on Braemar Ave & Thistlemoor in Caledonia. We have had 3 residents confirm that Jane Stewart personally told them the following information.
She is meeting with residents and telling them the following: 1) The Natives do not have any Legal Claim to this Land. 2) What do you think abouth the Government building a Lacross Field and Information Booth on the DCE land? |
| I am posting here an audio of Jane Stewart's words as she spoke with one resident for over an hour. I wish I could post the whole tape but people continue to tell me to remove any referrence to them. This is very hard on a taped message since people often talk at the same time.
Therefore, the tape is punctuated with a pause where the splicings were made - hopefully you can get a feel for what is being said. This would not have to be done this way if the Ontario Government wasn't so afraid of being open about their messages. We have seen time and time again where the Government has done everyting it can to hide information from the public and where the OPP hold secret meetings so the 'wrong' people cannot attend. I have repeatedly offered the Government and OPP to post their messages word for word but of course they have refused. Wouldn't it be far better for them to simply answer questions that can be posted word for word and in their entirety without all the smoke and mirrors? We are going to post the information anyways. Can anyone explain why a one hour interview cannot be recorded and posted without any editing? The answer is simple - they know their answers to direct questions will not be liked by the people of Ontario. |
| A few notes about the taped meeting posted here. The natives sued the Ontario Government and it was in court from 1995 to 2004. From 2004 to Apr. 2006 it took the natives and government that long to decide how to start negotiations.
From Feb. 2006 to Sept. 2006, after all the reports about how great the negotiations are moving along we are at the point where both sides have created a history time line of events. At this speed the negotations will be over in time for the next generation. Both don't worry Jane Stewart was the active negotiator in Ipperwash and she solved that problem by... wait for it... she didn't solve it at all - it is still ongoing. So why should anyone listen to Jane Stewart? Why should any resident believe a single word she said when she herself knows she said the same B.S. to the people of Ipperwash. She spoke to the people of Ipperwash and talked about how she shares their concerns and understands how they want to get back to their normal lives. According to Jane Stewart the OPP failed to do their job correctly back in April - she wishes they have removed the protesters but they failed. Well, Jane Stewart has certainly moved on with her life and collecting $1300 a day to (quote one resident who now appears everyone is quoting) blow 'shiny pink smoke up my posterior'. If you listen to the whole thing you clearly do find out one thing - who is signing Jane Stewart's pay cheque. She never says anything against McGuinty but has no problem being negative against Harper and Mike Harris - in fact Caledonia is Mike Harris' fault - don't you know? She is a true Liberal - everything in life is Mike Harris' fault. |
