I just couldn't believe it, there was no way in Canada that a Police Force would not protect a power station or allow an untrained person to do their job against an angry mob.
I took the photos to the right and was comforted to see not just one OPP officer protecting the Power Station but four - 2 per car and there were another 2 officers in a car around back.
Well I guess all the reports were wrong. The OPP can protect the Power Station and can provide citizens with the services they pay for.

Surely the OPP could have provided protection 3 months ago if they can now provide 24hrs 7 days a week protection. What has changed that would cause the OPP to start protecting the Power Station now?
Well the only thing I can see is that the Natives are allowing or authorizing the OPP to provide Protection. We may have thought Gwen Boniface was in charge or may have thought Gwen was giving the orders but it appears the OPP get their authorization to protect something directly from the Natives.
The Natives tell them they cannot cross the barricade to protect the Power Station and Gwen orders no protection. Same with the bridge, the Natives wouldn't allow the fire to be put out and Gwen issues her orders.
Once the Natives find it acceptable to them they allow protection of the Power Station. Immediately Gwen orders to the OPP officers to start 24hr protection.
Who exactly is in control of the OPP, Gwen Boniface or the Natives - maybe they are one and the same?
