Cayuga, ON – The Haldimand County O.P.P. with the assistance the Six Nations Police arrested 20 year old Christopher Hill in Ohsweken on the 3rd of January 2007 during a routine investigation on an unrelated matter.
Hill was arrested by the Six Nations Police on an outstanding warrant held by the Ontario Provincial Police for assaulting a police officer on
“I have zero tolerance for any actions in which public safety or the safety of any police officer is compromised” stated Commissioner Fantino. Fantino also stated that “we continue to investigate all incidents and those responsible will be brought to justice where there is evidence to do so.”
Mr. Hill faces the following charges;
Assault Police Officer contrary to Section 267(a) C.C.C.
Assault with a Weapon contrary to Section 270(1)(a) C.C.C.
Breach of Probation contrary to Section 733.1(1) C.C.C.
Hill is being held in police custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing today.
