Gwen's new Job - Not as Commissioner July 29, 2006
| Now we all know that Gwen wasn't fired and she didn't resign because of anything to do with Caledonia - Right?
That's the B.S. coming from Monty Kwinter, the same guy who thinks everything is okay in Caledonia. This is the guy that the Haldimand Mayor thinks is an idiot and not from the same planet. The Irish Examiner is reporting that Gwen Boniface is now an Inspector of the Ireland National Police Service. [story] |

Here are a few facts for our readers to consider. 1) Gwen Boniface became Commissioner in May of 1998. 2) Monty Kwinter tells us Gwen recently renewed a 3 year term as Commissioner. 3) Her resume doesn't show a history of breaking employement contracts early. 4) Her new job is a drop of 5 ranks - Commissioner to Inspector. 5) She was #1 OPP officer in Ontario - now she has 227 people higher in rank than her. But none of this means she was fired or that her sudden resignation has anything to do with Caledonia. |
Just so you know 'An Garda Siochana' means: |
"An Garda Síochána" means - "The Guardians of the Peace".
| One thing is for sure - Gwen will fit in just fine with "The Guardians of the Peace". She never enforced the laws here so they won't have any problems getting her not to enforce the laws there.
One thing we need to change here is to make it clear our Police Officers understand they are to enforce the laws. We need to change any and all laws, Acts or policies that allow senior brass from any Police Department to hide behind their view of 'Public Safety' or 'Keeping the Peace' and from obeying Court Orders issued to protect the public from assaults. I would suggest if there are any officers who believe they have the right to stand by as seniors are attacked, people are assaulted and property is destroyed, etc. all under the name of 'Public Safety' should follow Gwen's example and resign. It is time to Clean House and Force Police to uphold our Laws. |
| Just a note: Gwen Boniface's new job doesn't include policing. She is one of a 3 person team which requires at least one woman to be appointed. [see report] Remember she is appointed as an inspector not chief inspector and her job primarily is administrative.
"The objective of the Inspectorate, which will be independent in its functions, is to ensure that the resources available to the Garda Síochána are used so as to achieve and maintain the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness in its operation and administration, as measured by reference to the best standards of comparable police services" |
