Caledonia OPP Media Release

(Caledonia, ONT.)   On Saturday July 22, at approx. 5:20pm the OPP attended at the Haldimand County Caledonia Centre regarding a reported disturbance in the parking lot.

OPP officers immediately attended the scene and dealt with two youth groups. While dealing with the situation a young offender was arrested for causing a disturbance. During the arrest the youth became combative and he was “pepper” sprayed as he attempted to punch the arresting officer. A 15 year-old Niagara Falls male is charged with Cause Disturbance, Assault a Peace Officer and Failure to Comply with Sentence.

An adult male was being arrested for causing a disturbance. He broke free from the officer but was arrested a short time later. Will FISHER age 19 of no fixed address is charged with Cause Disturbance and Escape Lawful Custody.

While officers were dealing with the situation a second male youth was observed pushing a police bicycle down and jumping on the wheels before fleeing. This youth was arrested for mischief.  When he was searched a weapon was found on him.  A 17 year-old male of no fixed address is charged with Mischief Under $5000.00 and Knowledge of an Unauthorized Possession of Weapon.

During the arrest of the 15-year-old youth, a person from the crowd came forward and assaulted the arresting officer. This 18-year-old man was “pepper” sprayed and arrested.  The man  was searched and a weapon was uncovered.  Adam THOMAS of Niagara Falls is charged with Assault a Peace Officer, Assault With Intent to Resist Arrest, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon, Cause Disturbance and Failure to Comply with Sentence.

I am not complaining but just pointing out that within the last 72 hours I have posted 12 stories about how the OPP are not being 'Open & Honest' with the public. It was my claim that since June 21 the OPP Press officers would always tell the media, and thus the public, that all is quiet in Caledonia. I find it amazing that after my exposure of their propaganda about all is quiet the OPP have done three things.

1) Banned all OPP Officers from seeing this site.

2) Given orders that no OPP Press officers are to speak to me.

3) Done the above Press Release faster than any posted release in the past two months. This OPP website is not normally updated until a few days after press releases go out to the media.
