It was about a week after 911 when I found out the Federal Liberal Party had voted against new laws against terrorism. I wanted my local MP to tell me if he personally voted against the law. He, of course, was not used to any Canadian thinking they truly have the right to hold their MP accountable and therefore refused to answer. After a few days of asking the same question my name was given to the RCMP Anti-Terrorist team as a possible terrorist.

After speaking to the RCMP and being cleared as a possible terrorist I still wanted my answer. I knew the answer but I wanted him to admit he voted against the terrorist law. He didn't want to admit it.

During this process I had learned emailing your MP or writing letters is a complete waste of your time. By repeatedly faxing an MP most address the issue. So I faxed my MP a single question in large letters with my name & phone number. This I repeated about 20 times over 7 days - mostly after midnight.

A week later York Regional Police came to my door and handcuffed me and took me to jail - my wife posted a bond the next day to get me out. I went to court about 5 times and refused to plead quilty to anything. I made it clear I wanted my day in court. I wanted my MP to take the stand and under oath explain what law I had broken. The Crown made a few offers to avoid the trial but I refused them.

Then 6 months after my night in jail the Crown stood up in court and requested the Judge allow the charge against me to be dropped.

I learned valuable lessons through this. First, freedoms must be fought for and can quickly be lost - Canadians do not understand this but the people of Caledonia do. Second, the police just want to keep the peace. They really don't care whether a crime has been committed as long as they can keep the peace. My MP was bugging the York Regional Police, who did no real investigation to see whether any crime had been committed, and they figured that a night in jail along with the wasted time in the court system would teach me to stop bugging people who have power.

This is the reason for hosting in the USA. It forces Police and Government to present a clear legal case to take down the site and to charge me. No phone calls from a leader of a party or someone within the Government will be able to get the USA host to taken down the site.

First I bought my website near the beginning of 2006 - long before I heard of Caledonia. I tried my best to buy a web host located in the Country where Paul Martin had his shipping company. It was to be a statement that if Paul Martin wanted to avoid Canadian Laws then so can anyone else.

The original website design was to focus on how MPs voted and is still not done. [Link] In fact the CaledoniaWakeUpCall site is located as a sub-domain to this MP voting site.

Therefore, it should be clear that no foreign spys, KKK or President BUSH got me to create this site.

I emailed the OPPA President and offered him the opportunity to write a letter responding to my "Wanted Poster" which would be posted word for word. I further suggested that if they wanted to improve there public image they could donate $1000 for the upkeep of our site. We received no reply.

Without my knowledge and behind my back the Lawyers for OPPA were already writing to BlueHost to force them to release my name. The Lawyers claim they had no way to 'open dialogue' with us. I guess the rotating mail box marked "EMAIL" was not clear enough for these well education people that they could click on it and ask me for my name.

BlueHost refused to give out the information - this was the reason I bought from them and it is what they promote.The Lawyers didn't like that so they told BlueHost they had until 5pm Friday June 14 or they woud sue BlueHost to get the information.

BlueHost contacted me for the first time about noon Friday 14th and wanted me to ensure them that the OPPA lawyers had some means to contact me. As long as I allowed communications (Open Dialogue) then BlueHost would not shut down the site and would not give out my Name without my permission.

My last converstion with BlueHost before the deadline was about 4:20 and I was told the OPPA Lawyers were unhappy and found it unacceptable that they have to communication via email without my name. Of course, they could have asked me via the email - my name has been printed in the newspaper.

It appears that just after 6pm our time BlueHost, which is locatied in the Western US, had power failure. The hydro crews were working on the problem and took almost 3 hrs to solve the problem. I have several sites through BlueHost and this was the only one I have that went down. Their battery back-up system covered most of their clients but a few, like our Caledonia site, went offline.

How about supporting sites like ours? We have over 1200 web pages on our site. Only 1 page against officers. Why not donate $1000 to our site and prove you stand with the people of Caledonia.

The media has reported that many officers call Caledonia 'Cashedonia' for all the overtime they can get. How about a few officers donate a little of the Tens of Millions in overtime to this site or to various improvements in Caledonia?

Or I guess you can hire lawyers to force a single page on the internet you don't like to be shut down. If you choose this road then you can forget about getting people to believe your OPPA members are any better than the leadership - actions speak louder than words so put your money where your mouth in.

Either pay the Lawyers or Support Us - the choice is yours.
