Someone's Going to Die and OPP is doing nothing - Aug. 24, 2006
We posted today a Intimidation Report from David Hartless - local resident. We were struck by the following quote in his report: "Not once but twice now my wife's vehicle has been attacked through the night and the lug nuts loosened, the first time she lost a wheel while driving on the highway and slid of the road. Luckily her and my 3 small children were not hurt, this time one wheel was not enough apparently it did not have the desired effect so it was done again, this time all 4 wheels were loosened to the point you could spin them off with your fingers. No crash no injuries etc. because I managed to catch it in the driveway during my own personal security check. It must have been real disappointing for the cowards, those who have deliberately been targeting my wife's minivan filled with child car seats, oh and just so there is no mistake it is parked next to my pickup truck with hunting decals. The attacker(s) can make no mistake over which vehicle belongs to whom." We all know how the OPP is telling everyone that they are concerned about public safety. They tell us they are not removing the criminal protestors from the DCE land because of this concern. We have pointed out before and will again here that the OPP do nothing to ensure life and safety of residents. It appears the only people the OPP are protecting are the protestors whom the judge has ordered that they be removed, fingerprinted and photographed. It appears that one Native's life is worth far more than that of a resident. We have all seen how quickly the OPP will get involved if they believe the residents are doing anything that bugs the Natives. We also have seen the same OPP stand by and watch residents be assaulted, attacked, intimidated and yes they even stand by while fellow OPP officers are almost killed. [see attempted murder] |

Beware of Goat but Who Cares about Violent Natives
| We informed the public that back on Aug. 4 the OPP did a Press Release about a loose goat that may be a hazard to drivers in the Caledonia area. But the OPP has never told the public beware of Native's throwing rocks & metal items off the overpass. [story]
Once again we see that something like a loose goat is important to tell the public about but a rock coming through your windshield and killing you isn't an important enough public safety concern for the OPP to inform the public. You see the OPP doesn't inform the public about the Natives throwing rocks from the overpass because that would force the OPP to admit the Natives are dangerous. We raised the question about why not posting an OPP officer at the overpass - you have 24/7 watch at the burned out bridge (too much too late). Again, it would show the public and the media that the Natives are still a danger to the residents of Caledonia. |

"We would never harm children", say Natives
| After this week's Notra Dame School meeting Natives were upset that some parents stated the Natives would hurt their children. The Natives claimed that they would never harm the children - I guess seniors are okay to harm but not but children.
But as Mr. Hartless stated above, his wife's mini-van with child seats in them has been willfully tampered with. His wife, along with children, already went off the road. So much for Natives never harming children. Why has no one died in Caledonia - not because of the OPP. The OPP have done almost nothing to protect the residents of Caledonia. Millions of dollars have been spent to ensure the safety of the protestors and to ensure they are not arrested. Millions have been spent to disobey the courts, to create a Two Tier Justice system, to attack the very foundation of democracy but little is done to ensure residents are not murdered. It is but by the Grace of God no one has died - OPP & MELT collect overtime pay while a resident could die any day. The last time it took an attack on seniors, assault on media and the attempted murder of an OPP officer (all within a few hours) before the OPP took it seriously enough to arrest a token number of Natives. What will it take Now? |
