OPP Block ALL Officers from Seeing our Site
We have come to think that OPP Brass no longer trusts officers to be discriminating in what they read. I guess they fear that officers may believe what we are writing. I would have thought officers would be against us but I guess many officers support our site and believe in the long run that what we are drawing people's attention to needs to be addressed.

We focus primarily on the failure of the OPP Brass and McGuinty in stopping the Native Crime Spree. Again, one would think with the OPP association trying to get certain information off our site that officers in general would hate us. They wouldn't need Big Brother stopping them from reading our site. But I guess we were wrong.

We received this quote from a confirmed source:

From XXX (An off-duty OPP Constable who has not been to Caledonia)

"I read your website at home and off-duty.  I have never been to Caledonia but before it is over I might get sent there.  I have learned a lot from your website about what happened there and I am surprised that native criminal activity has been overlooked apparently.  The other day while at my detachment I wanted to see what was new on your web pages, but the OPP has blocked your website so none of us can read what is really happening in Caledonia except at home.  No matter, we can all read it at home.  And we all do."

Now I guess the OPP Brass has decided that reading our Website is harmful to Police Officers.

The Control, even extreme control, of information has started. If we were just some nut bar no one would care. If we misquoted them then they would take action.

We also have confirmation that OPP Media Lines have been ordered not to speak to us. They first claimed it was because it is a media line but they have spoken to us dozens of times before now. We then spoke to Sgt. Rektor who clearly told us the OPP have reviewed our site and decided no further information would be given to us.

It is their claim that we are not helping in the peaceful outcome in Caledonia and that we do not represent anyone in Caledonia. I believe the 10,000+ viewers in the past month would disagree.

Maybe it is because we are trying to get Gwen Boniface fired? Maybe it is because people are listening - just like the officer above? Maybe it is because the OPP has clearly decided to withhold any information that doesn't fit their Peaceful Caledonia Story?

One thing is for sure - people are reading - people are learning - and for those in control at OPP that is never a good thing.

The Control of Information is an attack on democracy itself.
