| We had our first public meeting for the March For Freedom in Caledonia Friday night at 7 pm at the Lions Hall upstairs. After being forced to change the time and day of the meeting just a few days earlier, we were concerned that few would be able to make it.
We had many people email us and tell us they couldn't make it because of the change in time & day. However, the room which is designed for 60 people was packed to overflowing with 115 people. (physical count) Average Canadians taking the time from their busy schedule to come and hear why the March for Freedom is important to them and to Caledonia.
I spoke for an hour then opened the meeting up to questions and answers. The following were the topics I covered.
1) Purpose of the March
- Media Attention
- Political Pressure
- Elections - Local, Provincal and Federal in the next 13 months.
2) Why DCE Land?
- It is the symbol of Two Tier Justice
- It is the place where all the people of Ontario will see OPP violation of the Charter of Rights
- Why not March at Queens Park - because no one would care
- McGuinty would use it as a photo Op for himself
3) Peaceful March
- Anything but a peaceful March and we lose
- It is all in the Planning and Controlling of People
- It is primarily the role and responsibilty of McGuinty and OPP to ensure a Peaceful March
4) Goals of the March
- To change the outcome of the Local, Provincal and Federal Elections
- The Two Tier System has been created by various Political Parties and will not change until we FORCE our leaders to listen
5) The Cost of the March
- The OPP will use every legal and illegal means to ensure the March for Freedom never happens
- The People of Ipperwash can testify to the OPP's willingness to abuse and intimidate the public
- Political Leaders will slander and attack all those who are for the March
6) The Future after the March
- Caledonia is only one voting riding for Ontario and for the Federal Government - no party cares what happens in Caledonia
- 20,000 People coming from 25-30 voting ridings will cause the various Governments to take notice
- These people will go home and tell their families and friends about how they witnessed OPP Two Tier Justice first hand
7) Your Role in the March
- Need Volunteers before the March and on the day of the March
- Volunteers to hand out fliers, contact Media, write letters to editors and talk to friends and family
