OPP Confirm that We have ESP Powers.

Below is the OPP Press Release and a Candian Press news story as printed in the Toronto Star.

Notice that the OPP Press Release implies the whole event started at midnight. Of course, we got the first call about it around 10:20. Two OPP Officers are stationed there so the OPP were aware of it a few hours before midnight. So what happened between 10:00 and 12:00 that the OPP doesn't want to report. We reported last night before midnight that the OPP riot team were gassing up their vehicles in Hamilton and heading to Caledonia - how could we report this if the whole event didn't start until midnight? We posted our first report of this event by 10:50 last night, over a full hour before the OPP claim it started - amazing that we now have proof of our ESP ability.

What about the fire and the fire department response - where is that in the release? In fact the whole release paints a picture that both sides created and fueled the situation. Where are the points about numerous flags being put up and the defacing of the Canadian Flag.

We will point out that according to email we have it took the OPP over an hour to send additional officers to the location - why is that?

What did the OPP do to stop the damage to vehicles and property - nothing? Did they arrest anyone - No? Did they stop the Natives from attacking the 89 year old WWII Vet's home - No?

The OPP knew the Natives were preparing for an escalation to their protest. The OPP had brought in more officers over the past few days. They could see the Natives putting up additional flags around town and moving hydro towers to the edge of the road. What did they do to prevent what happened last night - nothing.

It is sad that OPP Officers on the scene last night had to apologize to people for the poor policing that has gone on and then to read in the Press Release the wilful hiding of information that would show that the Natives started the whole event.

It should also be noted that at no time did the number of residents get near 100 - at best the total number was 50 residents. Why the increase... to show the residents were a greater danger?

We phoned Dennis Harwood, spokesman for the Ontario Provincial Police, who is the one spreading the OPP Propaganda to ask him about the errors in the Press Release. Of course, the coward refused to even reply. It appears that Mr. Harwood has no problem changing the truth during the course of his duties - after all, it's not as if he has to be concerned that it is his family in the line of fire.

Simple questions for you Mr. Harwood. Why do you say the event started about midnight? Why don't you tell the media about the fires and the fire department response? Why don't you tell the media about the flags being posted around town and about the Hydro towers being moved to the edge of the road? Why do you lie to the Media about it only being children who cut the center out of the Canada Flag?

Admit it Mr. Harwood, your Police Duty is to LIE to the Media and to the Public. How do you sleep at night?

[Update] We received the following email:

Dear Gary,
I am so upset over what is happening in Caledonia.  The night Dudley George was shot by Kenneth Deane OPP in Ipperwash, the natives had pelted the OPP with rocks, boards, lit flares and molotov cocktails from a large fire inside the park.  This was followed up with a bus and a car coming out of the park trying to run the police over.  After Dudley's death, the police were chased out of Ipperwash by rioting natives.  They refused to answer any calls for help and left residents to their own devices to protect their person, homes and possessions.

The only difference in the Caledonia case, is that although visible,  the police in reality have already left.  Many times the incidents we reported happening to us at Ipperwash, were either not put out on the police press releases or were changed so much by the police that we did not recognize the incident as the one we reported.  The hardest thing to put up with for us was the police trying to make the innocent victims of native harassment and threats, appear as though in their description of the incident that we deserved what we got.

It was shameful the way facts were manipulated by the police so they could stand around and do nothing.  I hope the elderly man has joined the class-action lawsuit.  He must be so disappointed with the lack of law enforcement in a country he fought so hard for.  We have been at the whim of the native agenda for eleven years.  Welcome to Ontario, the Province of symbolic protest.

DISTURBANCE IN CALEDONIA

(Caledonia, ON)  Ontario Provincial Police Haldimand County Detachment received a report of a disturbance occurring between the Douglas Creek Estates occupiers and Caledonia citizens behind Braemar Avenue in Caledonia, Haldimand County.

On Monday, August 7 just after 12:00 midnight, police attended and observed approximately 40 citizens in opposition with numerous occupiers. At one point the numbers grew to approximately 100 citizens. The situation escalated to the point where projectiles such as rocks and golf balls were thrown from both sides.  Police along with others from both sides were able to de-escalate the situation and ensure peace was kept throughout the remainder of the night.

As a result of this incident, unknown projectiles had hit a resident, occupier and an officer. No injuries were sustained.  Vehicle and property damage also occurred.  Police are continuing to investigate these incidents.

Other minor incidents had occurred during the day from both sides, raising tension between citizens and occupiers.  This kind of behaviour is not conducive to the peace process.

A/Supt Babbitt asks everyone to put forth a concerted effort to remain calm, respectful and act responsibly.  Each of us can contribute by continuing to be patient knowing that many people are working hard to resolve this land dispute.

Caledonia tempers flare

CALEDONIA — The ongoing peace process between residents of Caledonia and Six Nations protesters turned violent early Monday.

"We had two sides lined up and they were escalating to the point where things were starting to be thrown at each other," said Dennis Harwood, spokesman for the Ontario Provincial Police.

Harwood said about 40 residents gathered in opposition to the aboriginal protesters shortly after midnight.

That number quickly grew to 100 residents, and that's when the projectiles started to fly.

Pebbles, rocks, and golf balls were thrown from both sides, hitting a resident, an occupier and an officer.

No one was hurt, but vehicles and property were damaged.

Police were able to calm the situation and ensure peace throughout the remainder of the night.

Six Nations protesters have occupied the site since February, saying the land was illegally taken from them 200 years ago.

The land, which used to be slated for a housing development, has since been purchased by the province.

Although barricades cutting off access to the town have come down, residents say they're living in fear because of the ongoing occupation.

Harwood said Monday's altercation was sparked by minor incidents that occurred Sunday, beginning when Six Nations children cut the middle out of a Canada flag.

"They were taunting at the Caledonia residents, then the Caledonia residents put up some signs," said Harwood.

Harwood doesn't know what the signs said, but he said they were offensive to the aboriginals, who tore them down.

The two sides have clashed before, notably in late April when about 500 non-aboriginal residents of Caledonia marched on the occupation site following a community rally.

Harwood said this type of behaviour will hopefully not hinder the peace process.

"Certainly, we're hoping that they'll let the negotiators negotiate."
