OPP: Outsiders & Interlopers stay away

Jan. 22, 2007

We have heard the OPP, OPPA, John Tory, McGuinty and Mayor Trainer talk about stopping "Outsiders" from coming to Caledonia.

From what you see in the photos to the right, it is very clear that the Native protesters have a lot of "outsiders" coming in to support them. The pictures show two different Unions showing up to support what Mayor Trainer calls an illegal occupation.

We have Toronto Education Workers and Steelworkers Union flying their flags in support of the Native Protester. I assume these Unions support the destruction of the power station, burning down of the bridge, attacking seniors and even attempted murder, etc.

Can anyone tell me if there is even one example where the OPP or Fantino have told them not to? Can anyone tell me when John Tory has sent a letter to these groups to tell them to stay away? What about Mayor Trainer, has she said anything or done anything to stop these "outsiders" from coming in.

Isn't it interesting that Gary McHale, from the Toronto area, is an "Outsider" while the Toronto Education Workers are not.

Where is the great moral outrage by John Tory, Fantino, Mayor Trainer and McGuinty to these groups that are there exercising their Free Rights in a democratic society? It appears that these people find it okay for Native people to gain support from others outside of Caledonia while denying non-Native people the same right.

We already know Fantino's views, Mayor Trainer's views and McGuinty's views of this - clearly non-Natives are not allowed to have people come help them. But I want to ask why John Tory, who claims to care about Caledonia, feels that he too must deny any Canadian the right to help out a fellow Canadian while saying nothing about all the outside support Native protesters receive?

I asked Mr. Tory's office this question before the March for Freedon on Oct 15. and was told that he was unaware of these groups supporting the Natives. Therefore, I will forward Mr. Tory the photos from Jan. 20th and request that he contact these Unions and request that they stay away from Caledonia. This appears fair to me since Mr. Tory seems willing to tell Canadians not to help out their fellow Canadians.

I will post his reply.
