Native Protesters and KKK share ideology |
|
|
Jan 7, 2007 It is truly amazing just how much the Native protesters and the KKK have in common. It appears the protesters and the KKK not only look alike, act much in the same way, but they share the same philosophical world view. |
|
| Natives & KKK look the same:
Both have masks and wear something to cover their head while using Flags to make it look like they are being patriotic. It is not that they hate others - they claim - but they love their country, their culture, their nation.

|
| Both love Freedom of Expression but not for others:
It is truly amazing that the Native Protesters claim their Right to Free Expression but condemn anyone who disagrees with them. When one considers that the Grand River Six Nations is the largest reserve in Canada you think you would find a certain amount of diverse views. We all see that within Caledonia there have been serveral groups trying to get their message out to the media - Caledonia Citizens Alliance, Caledonia Resistance, Citizens of Caledonia and more. In any democratic society you always find groups who have opposing views who are trying to get their message out to the media. We see that we have both Liberal and Conservative media outlets within our communities. On almost any issue you will find media that support it while others oppose it. This is what true democracy produces, a firm belief in Freedom of Expression. It appears that within Native Communities Freedom of Expression is not permitted just like within the deep South when the KKK ruled. Where are the voices against the protest? Where are the voices against the rantings of Hazel Hill and Kahentinetha Horn? Name me different Native media outlets that support the protest and those who are opposed to it. Show me, within the Native community, where anyone is allowed to speak out against the protest. On April 29th the Toronto Sun printed a letter from a Native person who voiced his view that the protesters were wrong. [Link] I posted this story last week on the reclamation site and the immediate response from Native people was to call this Native person an 'Apple' - a phrase by the way I had not heard until I went to Caledonia in July. 'Apple' is a racial slur by Native people claiming he is "white on the inside but red on the outside". So the immediate response by Native people to this person's free expression was to attack him with racial slurs. |

| Burning Crosses or Tires the message is the same:
The purpose of burning crosses is to send a message that can clearly be seen by all that the KKK is present, that they are active, that they are willing to do things in public to intimidate. The Clan would often burn crosses at night to ensure the maxinim visual effect. I don't think the Native protesters were burning tires for warmth or because they wanted to collect the hazardous run off. What could produce a greater visual effect but dark black smoke that could be seen for miles. The open burning of tires, in full view of OPP, was sending the same message as the Clan did - we are here, we are active and we are willing to do things in public. The burning of tires is a direct act of intimidation against the OPP and residents. |

| When Burning Crosses doesn't work you burn other things:
Both the KKK and the Native protesters don't limit themselves to just symbolic burnings (crosses or tires). The violent nature of both groups can be clearly seen in their actions. The photos here are the burning down of a bridge, a barn and the power station but the Natives have used fire as their means to send a message to the OPP, the Government and residents many times. Vehicles have been destroyed, numerous grass fires have been set as well as fires by Hydro towers, and large bon fires have occurred.

| Native Protesters & KKK believe they are above the Law
In the movie "Mississippi Burning" there is a scene that questions why "Outsiders", 3 young men from the North, would go down to the South to help out. One of the characters answers, "there are some things worth dying for." A reply expressing the Clan's view states, "there are some things worth killing for." As I have gone to Caledonia I believe there are "some things worth paying a price for." - i.e. Freedom & Democracy. But clearly the Native Protesters have demonstrated that there are "some things worth committing crimes for." Both in public statements and in actions Native Protesters have threatened violence and promoted violent acts. The Clan believed they were untouchable. They believed they could do almost anything without the least bit of concern that the police would step in and arrest a Clan member. There are many reasons for this - first, the police shared in their views and the police were afraid to cross the Clan. For Buford Posey, a white man raised in Philadelphia, Mississippi, the second world war had a civilising influence. "When I was coming up in Mississippi I never knew it was against the law to kill a black man," he says. "I learned that when I went in the army. I was 17 years old. When they told me I thought they were joking." We see the same thing in Caledonia. The Native Protesters publicly proclaim they are above the Law and that they cannot be subject to any laws of Canada. Native Protesters walk around, in the same way the KKK did, openly thumbing their noses at the law. Kahntineta Horn, Mohawk Nation News, "The British Crown has no legal jurisdiction over our land or over us. We were here first. We never agreed to join Canada. So what are you colonists doing here? Go home." Tomorrow Trevor Miller is back in court to face charges for assault. The Native Protesters claim he is a political prisoner - not because he didn't do the crime but because Mr. Miller, a Native, is not subject to the Canadian Criminal Code. [Link] It is a fact that OPP stand by and watch Native people commit serious crimes. There are two reasons for this. First, each officer is completely trained in the Native propaganda of their view of Canada, treaties and land claims. The OPP has created two pro-Native groups within the OPP - A.R.T. and M.E.L.T. teams. Both of these teams are so pro-Native they may as well be directly involved in various criminal acts by the protesters. The second reason the OPP stand by is the same reason police in the south would not take action - FEAR. Across Canada the Government and Police forces have learned just how violent Native protesters can become. Whether that is Oka, Ipperwash or Caledonia the message has been clearly heard within the Government and Police forces which is, "Don't touch us or else". The so-called peaceful protesters have sent such a clear message of violence that the Government and OPP are afraid to do anything. In fact, you hear it all the time from the OPP. They are so afraid of Native violence that they must arrest people for trying to put up Canadian Flags. |

| Native Protesters & KKK share the same philosophical world view:
Both the Native Protesters & KKK beleive that they must be segregated to keep their cultural purity. Both see other cultures as an attack upon their way of life. Both see their culture as superior and the only means to preventing a mix of culture is segregation. Hitler's master plan was to ensure that the Arian race didn't have mixed blood. The KKK talked about blacks & whites producing "Mongos" and the Natives use the term "Apple". You would think that Native people would be completely against the Reserve system. The very system that historically produced most of the harm to Natives is still supported by Natives... Why? Because for the protesters segregation is the only way to keep the evil "white man" out. In each 5 year period Canada allows in more immigrants than there are Native people in Canada. These immigrants come from all over the world and few are from traditional "white man" locations. They come to Canada for the Freedoms, for the Equalities and for the Justice that many did not experience in their own Country. Many come to Canada and never learn English or French, they keep their culture and their traditional views. But Native Protesters see Multiculturalism as the great evil of the "White man". The fact that people come from across the world with different views but desire common Rights & Freedom under a common Criminal Code is completely against what the Natives want to happen. See video from with me speaking in Brantford and Native Protesters clearly reject Equality under the Law. [Link] In 1964 in Mississippi the KKK listed 20 reasons to join them. Number 11 states, "Because the goals of the KKK [is] the total segregation of the races." The photo to the right is a KKK poster against Immigration. To the Native Protesters, Multiculturalism is Genocide and they use the word Genocide all the time. To the KKK & Native protesters segregation is the way of life and not Multiculturalism. To them anyone who supports equality is evil and racist. |

| Native Protesters & KKK are fighting for Sovereignty for their people:
Number 17 on the list of 20 reasons to join the KKK states, "Because one of the goals of the KKK is States' Rights and complete State Sovereignty." The first branch of the Ku Klux Klan was established in Pulaski, Tennessee, in May, 1866. A year later a general organization of local Klans was established in Nashville in April, 1867. Most of the leaders were former members of the Confederate Army and the first Grand Wizard was Nathan Forrest, an outstanding general during the American Civil War. The Warriors claim to provide protection and ensure the sovereignty of Native Nations. The purpose for the Warriors and the stated goals of the Warriors are the same as the KKK. We hear Native Protesters repeatedly say that they are not a part of Canada and that they are a sovereign nation. We hear them claim they are not subject to Canadian Laws, including the Criminal Code, and therefore are not guilty of any crime even when they destroy power stations or attack seniors. In the same way that Clan member teach their children that they should be willing to act to protect their culture, to protect their sovereignty and to protect their family, many Natives teach their children that they must fight with force to keep their sovereignty and culture. |

| Martin Luther King Jr. believed that true peaceful protest draws attention to a Two Tier System which is based on Racial Profiling. Mr. King believed that people must stand peacefully to pay the price for Freedom & Equality. There are things that are so important that individuals must be willing to pay a price for.
The KKK and Native Protesters believe that there are things so important that individuals must be willing to do violence to ensure sovereignty. While Mr. King would hold peaceful marches, the KKK showed they were willing to destroy things and attack people to express their sovereign rights. The Natives have repeatedly proven they share the KKK's view that violence, not peaceful marches, is the means to force your sovereign control over land & people. On this point the Native Protesters and the KKK believe the use of violence is an acceptable course to fulfil their political agenda. |
