| Now that Ken Hewitt is running for local councillor for Ward 3 which is Caledonia, we thought that Mr. Hewitt would like a chance to make it crystal clear on where he stands on the issues that many people believe are important.
Any reply by Mr. Hewitt to this posting will be posted word for word to allow Mr. Hewitt the means to express the answers to the questions we raise. |
| 1) Judge Marshall has ordered that any protesters on DCE land after Mar. 22nd 2:00 p.m. are to be arrested, fingerprinted and photographed for criminal contempt of court.
Do you Mr. Hewitt agree with this ruling? 2) Judge Marshall has stated that the "Rule of Law" must be restored in Caledonia - clearly he believes the "Rule of Law" has been destroyed by the wilful lack of action by the OPP. Do you Mr. Hewitt agree with this ruling? 3) Many residents, in the riding you want to represent, believe the OPP have created a Two Tier Justice system. When the OPP contract comes up for renewal in 2008 - within the term of office you now seek; Will you vote to renew it or not? 4) Ipperwash is still ongoing after 16 years of OPP & Ontario Government promises. The citizens of Ipperwash are still faced with murder, arson and intimidation. Why do you believe Caledonia will be resolved any time in the next few years? 5) There is a Class Action Lawsuit create by people in Caledonia which , if won, would benefit most residents and businesses. Do you support this Lawsuit? Why or Why not? 6) People are concerned about a casino being built anywhere near Caledonia. Would you vote for any re-zoning to allow for any casino (and the hotels and other commercial properties that follow) near Caledonia? |
