Harper: What is the First Duty of Government?

Jul 4, 2007

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown stated this past weekend, "The first duty of the government is the security and safety of all the British people..."

We would fully agree with Prime Minister Brown regarding his views of governments. The Primary function of any Government is to ensure what the Canadian Constitution states is "Right to life, liberty and security of the person".

This is the reason we have the Criminal Code and the Anti-Terrorist Act. Governments can do a thousand things correctly, but unless each individual has the Right to "life, liberty and security of the person" then everything else is quite meaningless.

A childcare credit doesn't help if you live in fear for yourself and for your child.

Over the past month we have seen direct evidence of a terrorist threat to Canadian infrastructure and many direct racist remarks by a few Native leaders. Even the national media started using the words blackmail, terrorism and racism as they referred to events leading up to June 29th.

How did the Canadian Government deal with this direct Terror Threat?

They paid the blackmailers - even the media saw it that way.

Over the past 3 weeks the Federal Government suddenly annouces $2.5 billion in land claim settlements, $125 million to end the protest in Caledonia, land to Chief Nelson to stop him from making more racist statements and the Ontario Government suddenly came up with another $2.5 billion in shared casino profits.

June 28 - Harper: Are Muslims the only Terrorists?

June 28 - Harper has Confirmed: Two Tier Justice is now Nation Wide

June 25 - Trudeau vs Harper: One appeases Terrorists

Why is this happening?
There is a simple answer as to why this is happening:

1) Because Governments of the past did stupid things to the Natives - surprise, who would have thought that Governments act in a self-serving stupid way?

2) Natives have learned how to milk the system because of these abuses. ( Jul 1 - Citizen: Turning guilt into billions of dollars)

3) Natives have learned that the extreme use of violence in a modern society causes Police and Governments to cave.

Is creating new victims the answer?
To quote Shawn Brant, protester in Deseronto, "I don't give a rat's ass whether I create victims or not or what the white man thinks of me."

Back in May, the crowd in Toronto clapped and cheered Mr. Brant after he delivered his speech.

Mr. Brant told the crowd that for 10 years he had been going around to native communities throughout Ontario telling them to take up guns, to attack the railway, hydro, gas and highway infrastructure throughout the province. He openly admitted that his goal was to cause 'every single home to suffer' (for more info and video proof: )

Was Mr. Brant arrested?... No, he wasn't.

Was Mr. Brant arrested last Friday after blocking both the road and railway line down by Deseronto?... No. He has agreed to turn himself in this Thursday - nice to see our law enforcement officers allowing the criminals to decide which days they will be arrested.

Almost every media outlet has stated that Mr. Brant and the protesters have been 'emboldened' by how the police and government have responded to this blackmail.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown stated this past weekend, "The first duty of the government is the security and safety of all the British people..."

Mr. Harper you failed in your First Duty as Prime Minster - maybe you should take a few lessons from PM Brown.

Based on the last month, Canada will see repeated Blackmail Attempts and it is we, the people, who pay the price for failed Governments.
