Fantino takes Two Tier to New Levels

Listening to the words of OPP Commissioner Fantino, as reported by the Toronto Sun, you would think that Fantino has finally realized that he is Police Commissioner and not a UN Peace Keeper. The following are some quotes from th Toronto Sun story:

Calling it "nothing but anarchy" that could have ended with people hurt, OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino warned criminal charges in the Greenpeace protest could extend beyond the young people arrested yesterday.

Fantino states, "Just think of all of the resources at great cost we have had to pull in from elsewhere in the province to deal with this nonsense."

Fantino, who insists he is for peaceful protest, said this does not fall into that category. "This was dangerous," he said. "It's using young people and putting them at risk. It terrorized the people on the coal ship, put our officers in harm's way and put the very foundation of the province's power supply at risk." Any "sabotage" of the power supply, he said, is not acceptable. "This was anarchy and it was masqueraded around environmental concerns," Fantino said.

Tears almost came to my eyes to hear such strong words from Fantino until I remembered that there is a Court Order to arrest Native Protesters in Sharbot Lake and the OPP are sitting around having a few smokes with the protesters. It truly would be a shame if Fantino could stop playing to the cameras and start enforcing Canadian Laws.

Does Fantino even believe his own propaganda or does he just speak without thinking? Regardless of your point of view this statement from Fantino is as Two Tier as you can get, "Just think of all the resources at great cost we have had to pull in from elsewhere...

Are you serious Mr. Fantino? Have the OPP not spent close to $80 million on policing in Caledonia? Did you not have, at times, 500 officers 'pulled in' from elsewhere to deal with not just the nonsense but outright terrorist acts by Native Protesters?

Speaking of terrorism, it appears that Mr. Fantino is able to use the word 'terrorized' in referring to the people on the coal ship but not once has the OPP even hinted that residents have been terrorized by the endless criminal acts of Native Protesters.

It appears that a few hours of protest by Greenpeace is so much worse, in Fantino's eyes, than masked Natives assaulting people, destroying a power station, burning down a bridge & private property, attempted murder of OPP officers, assault on US border guards, nightly intimidation of residents and endless other criminal acts.

Of course, this is NOT proof of Two Tier Justice in Ontario according to Fantino - this is police discretion. The OPP's use of Police Discretion is a direct threat against Democracy and the 'Rule of Law'.

Commissioner Fantino has an armed force of officers who have been completely trained to violate the Charter of Rights by forcing upon individual Canadians their Racial Policies. Did any Government pass laws to allow Fantino to disobey the Supreme Court of Canada? - No! Each level of Government has publicly stated the OPP must uphold Canadian Laws.

Can you even imagine the twisted thinking Commissioner Fantino must have to look himself in the mirror and claim to be so outraged by Greenpeace while serious terrorist threats exist in Canada by a small group who have targetted Towns and Infrastructure to force their political agenda?

Fantino is so angry a coal ship was stopped for a day but doesn't say one word about a $180 Million Hydro One development in Caledonia that has been stopped for 18 months. Nor have you heard Fantino speak out against the Land Claims on windmills or the current stoppage of a Uranium Mine.

So let's see. The one day stoppage of a coal ship is a threat to the power supply in Canada but the direct targetting of hydro, windmills and Nuclear power in Canada isn't important to Fantino.

The direct stoppage of highway and railway traffic for weeks was okay, but don't stop a coal ship.

Does Fantino own shares in a coal company? Does he expect any Canadian to believe his latest rant is a sign that the OPP is a police force?

The OPP is nothing more than a political advocacy group that ensures their actions will have no effect on whoever their current boss is. You don't bite the hand that feeds you and the OPP are not about to obey their own Oath of Office and enforce Canadian Laws with an election a month away.

Fantino knows who writes his cheque and he is not about to end Two Tier Justice in Ontario when so many Politicians and OPP officers have such a vested interest in the status quo.

Mr. Fantino please save your Moral Outrage over Greenpeace for people who may believe your B.S.
