Caledonia class action lawsuit

Caledonia class action lawsuit coming to Hamilton in June

Three days in June will be crucial to a class action lawsuit that has been filed on behalf of residents and businesses in Caledonia.

The motion for certification of the action as a class proceeding, will be heard in Hamilton's Superior Court of Justice from June 18th to 20th.

The class action was started last June, and seeks damages against Haldimand County, the former O-P-P Commissioner and Cayuga Detachment Commander and the Province of Ontario.

It's a result of issues related to the ongoing occupation of the former Douglas Creek Estates development site, including the closure of provincial and municipal highways.
