The Native Blockade and resulting situation in Caledonia is a CANADIAN WIDE CRISIS caused by the McGuinty’s Liberal Party along with the scandalous, influence-pedaling Federal Liberal Party.

Historical FACT: After the Oka Native standoff in 1990 the Provincial Conservative Government made numerous recommendations to the Federal Government to ensure future stability with the Natives. The Federal Government Liberal Party NEVER acted on any of these recommendations when in power, and McGuinty’s Liberal Provincial Government continues to do nothing to resolve or stabilize the Natives provincially.

Let us review the facts of the Caledonia CRISIS:

McGuinty’s Liberal Provincial Government’s response along with his cabinet the Minister Responsible for Aboriginal Affairs Hon. David Ramsay, Attorney General Hon. Michael Bryant, Community Safety and Correctional Services Hon. Monte Kwinter:

- McGuinty’s Liberals are afraid of the Natives and their reputation of intimidation and violence – fires, blockades, hiding of guns etc.
- McGuinty’s Liberals are afraid of their legal liabilities that will be brought forward against them in private suits and class actions.
- McGuinty’s Liberals was elected by the power base in Toronto and realise that the next election is a total loss if they lose their power base in Toronto – the power base in Toronto is also that of Federal Liberals.
- McGuinty’s Liberals in Ontario and the Federal Liberal party is based on payoffs and power influence – not what is good for all – example: Gun Register program, Sponsorship Program, Misappropriation of government contracts such as new buildings in the city of Hamilton- typical influence peddling by the Liberal party.
- McGuinty’s Liberals’ policy is LOST and INEFFECTIVE. Their party is based on influences rather than what is good for people of Ontario including Natives.
- McGuinty’s Liberals demanded an inquiry of former premier Mike Harris accusing him of interfering with the OPP at the OKA Native Protest - his government is interfering with the OPP carrying out the LAW here in Caledonia just like he accused Mike Harris, past Premier of Ontario
- Chief negotiator of the Liberal Party Dave Peterson openly admitted on CHML on Friday morning that he did not understand the Native problem till recently- He was premier of Canada and he only recently figured out what was involved with the Natives - wasn’t he Liberal Premier of Ontario??
- McGuinty’s Liberal Policy as well as Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services Hon. Monte Kwinter are incompetent. Here is proof

-The McKenzie road detour is poorly lighted and not structurally designed for heavy traffic.
-This minister is not aware that the OPP are the only police services in Caledonia – this is C.Y.A. or political SPIN, or Hon. Monte Kwinter is confused, therefore incompetent to govern.
-In order for the OPP to maintain the LAW, a two tier system is applied – there are many examples of this, such as ignoring Land Patents, Court Injunctions, Illegal Blockades and Arrest Warrants.
-Trucks for industry such as Stelco, Gypsum Manufacturing, Ontario Hydro, Oil Manufacturing etc. located south of Caledonia are required to use bridges which are underrated for these truck weights because the Highway #6 by-pass in closed by the Natives…there is a major accident waiting.
-The supervisors of the OPP are no where to be found and are controlling the OPP and telling them how to enforce the law.
-A recent event when a Canadian Citizen was delivered in HANDCUFFED by duct tape by the Native Protestors to the OPP! Can you imagine if a woman was hand cuffed by an abusive husband? The OPP would, without a doubt, have charged the husband. The Natives did an illegal act and the OPP stood by.
-The Safety of the Community is seriously at risk – thanks to the McGuinty’s Liberal Government interference of the OPP and their duty to uphold the law.

- McGuinty’s Liberal policy is not upholding the law of the land and the Ontario Attorney General Hon. Michael Bryant is accountable to all Ontario people. Here is proof:

-A Court Injunction which is still in place has not been enforced.
-An Arrest Warrants were issued for law breakers in the presence of OPP and the charged individuals were not arrested.
-A land Patent was issued by the Ontario Government was not enforced and they are putting a moratorium on building homes.
-A terrorist act has occurred in Caledonia and no enforcement – a Canadian Citizens taken hostage behind the blockade and was force to apologize and assaulted by Natives (HANDCUFFED by duck tape)
-People of Caledonia are at personal safety is at risk and the people responsible for enforcement have done nothing.

McGuinty’s Liberal policy on Native affairs is incompetent, overseen by Hon. David Ramsey. Here is proof.

-When the day OPP raided the Native Protest on the Douglass Estates, whereas the night before McGuinty publicly told the Parliamentary house saying Caledonia and the Native protestors need patience to resolve issues, meanwhile he orders the raid on the Native protestors – McGuinty’s Liberals LIED
-The leader negotiator Liberal David Peterson said to the Hennings - owners of the Douglass estates - that ownership will not be handed over to the Natives and they would be included in any decisions regarding the land. Then he announced a Moratorium of the Douglass estate without talking to the Hennings. McGuinty’s Liberal LIED again
-The negotiators, both Native and the Liberal Dave Peterson, said the Blockade would be down Friday, May 19th. McGuinty’s Liberals LIED again and again. Don’t play semantics of words. Your word is your word.


Interesting Fact: At the beginning of the Native Blockade a COURT INJUNCTION was issued from the Ontario Courts. Court documentation shows that the Hennings - owners of the land, the plaintiffs – started off with charging the Natives to get off the Douglass Estates, but then had to go up against Haldimand County. The Haldimand Council is a known supporter of McGuinty’s Liberals, who sided with the natives.

This is another example of the Liberal policy of influence pedaling.

Interesting Fact: The organization which calls themselves ‘Caledonia Citizens Alliance’ - the single voice of the citizens of Caledonia - is made up of Haldimand Councillors such as Craig Asbuagh, a known Liberal. REMEMBER, this same council supported the Native cause by not supporting the court injunction for the Natives to get of the Douglass estates.
Make him apologize for his support of Native action – his influence against the Court Injunction Actions – and have him show his support for the people of Caledonia so this organization may have INTEGRITY.

This organization must have INTEGRITY, not Liberal incompetence.

Interesting Fact: McGuinty’s Liberals and their Cronies do not negotiate from the strength of the law - OPP have no power to uphold the law, the courts are left powerless, the blockade is still in place, they don’t show care of the small businesses of Caledonia. All that is promised by McGuinty’s Liberal policy is no-action and upholding their central power control in Toronto.

We can, need, and must demand that the McGuinty’s Provincial Liberals, supported by Federal Liberals, be STOPPED so that Canada’s National Native Crisis can be resolved, it was brought on because of their inaction, influence pedaling, weakness, injustice, lack of integrity, incompetence, lies, scams.
