Provincial Liberals plan to establish a casino in Caledonia?

Is the secret plan developed by Dalton McGuinty's Liberal government to resolve the Caledonia land dispute now out in the open? What does it say about the true motives of the people occupying the land? What does it say about Dalton McGuinty, the police, and how future issues like this one are likely to be handled? Are we in for more of the same? You decide.

Caledonia Wake Up Call claims to have come into possession of the provincial government's plan to resolve the land dispute in Caledonia. I can't vouch for the credibility of the source, since I don't know who the source is, but it tells an interesting story of just how Premier Dalton McGuinty is handling the situation. Here are some of the more telling elements:

The Douglas Estates will become an Economic Enterprise Center with the main item a CASINO. The Province will run the place and share revenue with the CONFEDERATE CHIEFS and Haldimand Council. No word of the Casino will be given to the public until after 2007 election.

No word of Ken Hill's role in this part of the plan.

The Haldimand Council (who have censured Marie Trainer -the Liberal party is out to get rid of Marie Trainer because they can’t control her) have been told by the Liberal Party if they keep their months shut and support the Liberal Plan the County will be given a Pool and Recreation Center with no strings attached.

Seems like Haldimand Council can be bought off pretty cheaply. If true, the Council won't have too many friends among the residents, who might see this as a sell-out.

The OPP will be dropping all criminal charges against the Native warriors and Chiefs and blame Gwen Boniface's poor policing policies (have set her up already).

OK, that's old news, really. Was there ever any chance that the OPP would do anything else?

Read the whole thing and decide on your own if it sounds credible.
